My name is Adrián Salcedo. I am the kind of person who cannot let a problem go until I understand why it happens. A computer error, a phone that refuses to sync, a song I cannot figure out by ear, or a class I have to prepare with whatever I have at hand. I have had to solve all of it.
For years I kept those fixes in scattered notes. More than once I went back to the internet for something I had already solved, and ended up on old or half finished guides. This blog started so those answers would live in one place, explained without rush.
What you will find here
I write about the problems that show up in my day to day.
- Tech and computing. Programs, settings, the internet and the tools I use every day.
- Phones and devices. Settings, common failures and tricks that really work.
- Music. Theory, chords and what I learned building CifraLab, my project for studying music.
- Teaching. Resources and ways of explaining that have worked for me in class.
- Everyday life. Paperwork and household things that look simple until you have to do them.
How I write
Every article comes from something I lived through. I describe the problem as it happened, the steps that worked and the ones that did not. If a solution depends on a version or a date, I say so, so you know whether it still applies to you.
I would rather write a short useful article than a long one that goes in circles. And when something changes, I come back and update it.
Who is behind this
Neoroot is the name I sign my projects with, including this blog and CifraLab. It is just me, writing in my spare time.
If an article helped you, failed you, or you want me to explain something, write to me from the Contact page.
